Global Youth
Nature Alliance

Nature protects us. Now we must protect nature.

Uniting Youth Worldwide to Protect and Restore Nature

Humanity is living through a critical period in history. The accelerating climate crisis, rapid biodiversity loss, ecosystem degradation, and increasing pressure on Earth's natural systems demand urgent, science-based, collaborative action. We believe that the decisions made during this decade will have profound consequences for present and future generation

The Urgency

“We are today perilously close to tipping points that once passed will send Global temperatures catastrophically higher.”
— David Attenborough

Why Nature Matters

Our Approach

Global Youth Nature Alliance is founded on the belief that young people have a unique and essential role in shaping a more sustainable, equitable and resilient future. Our approach focuses on five connected themes.

The Link Between Nature and Human Health

Healthy ecosystems support healthy people. Protecting biodiversity and restoring nature is an investment in our health, well-being and shared future.

Accelerating Positive Tipping Points

Changes in policies, technology and social norms can reinforce one another, helping solutions spread faster. GYNA aims to build public support for evidence-based action that can accelerate this progress.

The Power of Agency

Agency is the ability to influence decisions, whether at school, work or in wider society. GYNA aims to help you recognize where you can contribute and connect with others to advance that work.

Finding Common Ground and Shared Values

Shared concern for forests, oceans and wildlife can bring people together across cultures, generations and political perspectives. GYNA builds on that common ground to encourage dialogue and cooperation.

Driving Action Through Technology and AI

We believe technology should serve people and the planet.

GYNA aims to use technology and AI responsibly to support education and collaboration, connecting young people with expertise, resources and opportunities to protect nature.
